A new digital support service for children and families

We have some fantastic news! We’ve been working with Local charity Ruby’s Fund to develop a digital support service and case management app to help address social isolation and support families more effectively.

The online system reduces the need for paper-based case management, drives efficiency and has a ‘sign-posting’ tool to help support workers refer families into the right services at the right time. Case Workers can more effectively target services based on a better understanding of a family’s needs.

This is an amazing project, and a great example of an organisation adapting and reacting quickly to change. Us Thirvers are delighted to be part of such an important initiative, and it’s great to hear how the app is already helping families during this extremely challenging time.

In response to the issues which families are experiencing because of the Covid-19 lockdown, such as loneliness and isolation, Ruby’s Fund are bringing forward the development of a self-referral feature of this new app and we hope to be able to launch this in the coming days.

Alison Parr, founder of Ruby’s Fund commented; “At this time, families are struggling day to day, especially if they have a child with additional needs. We want to do everything we can to help support all families in our community – whether they have children with SEND or not – and the technology developed by Thrive, within our new case management app, will help us reach and help more people than ever before.”
