This week Instagram announced the launch of a new in-app ‘Professional Dashboard‘, giving creator and business accounts increased insight into post performance, as well as access to relevant tools to help maximise their social presence on the platform.
The new dashboard is split into the following areas:
You might recognise quite a few of these tools, they’re not all new to the platform. The professional dashboard however combines all these resources into one tab. As explained by Instagram:
“We hope that by bringing these items together into one central place we can make it easier for professionals to discover and access the tools best-suited for them.”
Last summer, Instagram introduced ‘Reels’, a new way to create and share short 15 second videos. The platform is clearly trying to prompt business accounts and top creators to utilise all forms of content on the site, by educating on the benefits and increased reach these relatively new formats offer.
One release that has flown slightly under the radar is the Creator Studio, a suite of tools available on desktop and in-browser allowing for the easy management of content and interactions across multiple pages on both Facebook and Instagram. It’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already, especially if you’re still manually posting content.
If you have a business or creator account on Instagram, the new mobile dashboard is available immediately. Open up the app and take a look for yourself. You never know what you might learn from the data that’s hidden away.
